The One-Time Password (OTP) system is a two-factor authentication system. Two-factor authentication means that you are authenticated using something you have and something you know. The LLNL OTP system uses a token code from an OTP token as something you have and your personal identification number (PIN) as something you know.

OTP Tokens

The token code is the 6 digits displayed by the OTP Token. It changes every 30 seconds. The password, also known as passcode, is a single string without spaces. For example, the OTP Token above is displaying a token code of "032848". If your PIN was "abc12def", you would then enter "abc12def032848" as your password.
